My husband says he prefers this image to the one from yesterday. I'm not sure this is a "better" image, but I do like that the entire bottom lip is visible in this one. This image has not been altered in Photoshop, but colors were adjusted in Lightroom. Taken w/ the 30D/ Canon 50mm 1.4. Taken during the baby's nap yesterday.
Notes on other things:
Not sure what I want to work on next. Since the birth of Cake, I'm figuring out what life will look like as I make the transition from full time photographer to... not. I'm looking forward to the possibility of doing more personal work, even if what that looks like remains fuzzy for the time being.
I'm thinking of altering some of the Southern France pictures from 2 years ago if I can get the other computer up and running. They're stored there and I never backed them up, so if that computer will come back to life for me, I'll also need to burn and archive those images.
Also thinking of working on the mixed media portrait series. Still can't completely picture what those will look like and not sure I can produce in real time what I have pictured in my head, but I feel like I'm on the verge of taking a pretty decent stab at it.
Just got word that I'm going to be starting work with Ahu on the 7th! Very excited about this development as I think it will help me focus on this next phase of work and gain a lot of clarity about what I will do next and how that will show up in the world outside my own head.
